UPDATE ON VOUCHER DISTRIBUTION:
Experience, Inc. to distribute Farmer Market Vouchers
Local seniors who are struggling with the cost of food may be eligible to receive some fresh food options through this year’s Farmers Market voucher program.
Distribution of Farmers Market Vouchers will be held on July 10, 11 & 19 at Experience Inc. 905 4th Ave Warren PA from 10-2. In Forest County, distribution will take place at the Endeavor Senior Center on July 18 from 10-2. The program helps seniors in our two counties gain access to fresh foods that are produced in PA and supports local farmers’ businesses.
To be eligible for the vouchers, residents must be 60 years old by 12/31/23 and have an individual income of under $26,973 per year or a two-person income under $36,482 per year. Vouchers will be distributed in person and must be used at a Pennsylvania Farmers Market before Nov. 30.
In addition to in-person pick-up, seniors who are not able to come to a site can designate a proxy person to pick up a voucher on their behalf. Proxy forms must be completed by the senior who is applying for a voucher before the individual who is the proxy person arrives to pick it up.
Proxy forms can be obtained at Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark Street, Warren PA, OR at Experience Inc., 905 4th Ave Warren, PA OR by calling Experience Inc. at 814-723-376, press option #2 for Information and Assistance. Please call with any questions.

Studies show that volunteering is good for your health and the Allegheny Volunteer Alliance (AVA) at the ACC can help you find the right opportunity to get started in finding the position that fits your lifestyle!
The ACC believes we all win and a community grows stronger when people of different ages get to know one another and enjoy healthy activities together. So….the programming at the ACC includes a rich mix of healthy lifestyle activities – some aimed at older people; some, focused on more younger; and some that are truly intergenerational!
