Staying Positive in Difficult Times: At the Allegheny Community Center

September 15th at 10:30

The last few years have been very hard on our usually socially active seniors. Many are still feeling isolated, stressed, expressing anxiety and depression. Whether you are a senior or not, all of us are making daily compromises due to the escalating costs of food and paying higher utility bills, just to mention a few concerns. For our seniors this may actually mean the choice of buying food verses paying for necessary prescriptions.  All of these combined negative pressures can make it very difficult to stay positive in the world we live in today.

How can we take back the control of giving ourselves the ability to have positivity in our lives again? One way is to recognize what you are feeling and the second is to understand that you are not alone.

Join us at the ACC for the round table event addressing the connection between social isolation, depression, and anxiety. Dr. John from Deerfield Behavioral Health will lead the discussion.
